Season's Greetings

Written on December 30, 2024
May you enjoy a peaceful festive season and prosperous New Year!
Hereby, the message of the IAF Chairperson at the closing time of the year:
"It has been two months since the conclusion of our remarkable 14th IAF Summit, and I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your participation, dedication and contribution to this event.
As the newly appointed Directing Committee members, we are fully committed to advancing the strategic development of Aikido worldwide. Together with all member countries and organizations, we are working tirelessly to promote Aikido as not only a martial art, but also as a philosophy of peace, harmony, and mutual respect that transcends cultural and geographical boundaries.
Looking ahead, we approach a historic milestone — the 50th Anniversary of the International Aikido Federation. This celebration is not only a commemoration of our shared journey but also a pivotal moment for strengthening our global unity. In preparation for this significant occasion, we are planning a series of international events, seminars, and collaborative projects aimed at fostering deeper connections and broader knowledge-sharing across our global community.
Aikido seminars are much more than training sessions — they are powerful platforms for building bridges between cultures, exchanging ideas, and nurturing friendships that extend beyond the tatami. It is through such gatherings that we can ensure the continued growth and evolution of Aikido as a global force for positive change.
We deeply value the support, dedication, and passion of every member nation and every individual aikidoka. Your unwavering commitment forms the foundation upon which we continue to build the future of Aikido together.
Wishing you all continued success, harmony, and joy in your Aikido journey. May 2025 be a year filled with impactful meetings, inspiring exchanges and shared achievements on and off the tatami.
With gratitude and best wishes,
Yoko Okamoto

International Aikido Federation"
